Pret-a-Portea the Most Fashionable Eatery On The Planet

There's something to be said for a tea service that incorporates artful variation. Berkeley's Pret-a-Portea is a tea and bakery that sells an assortment of runway inspired cakes, cookies and sweets served with your choice of a loose leaf tea, savory tea sandwiches, canapés and the option of a glass of Laurent-Perrier Rosé or Ruinart blanc de blancs.

Some of their creations include Alexander McQueen's famous butterfly headpiece circa Spring 2008, rendered in dark chocolate mousse and elegant red sugar, the Armadillo shoe inspired cookie dusted with a light glitter, a "sequin" macaron inspired by Matthew Williamson's hippie-chic aesthetic, a Jimmy Choo handbag rendered as a zebra print sponge cake with rainbow meringue drops, an edible glittery DVF wrap dress inspired by the designer's 40th anniversary, a Valentino chocolate tartellette topped with red and pink polka dots to match the mod dresses of Fall 2014, and a baby blue Dolce and Gabbana pannacotta, complete with an adorable owl and the well-loved red and yellow McDonald's inspired Moschino bag in the form of a tiny cake.

Located in the 5-star hotel in chic Knightsbridge (steps away from Harrods and other luxury shops) pastry chef Mourad Khiat's creations run on a similar timeline to fashion’s seasons. The Pret-a-Portea menu is completely redesigned twice a year for the new season to reflect past collections.

Never has the connection between food and fashion been so edible. Get Pret-a-Portea’s tasty treats and visit their webpage here.
