Clooney and Alamuddin Wed, Kunis and Kutcher Welcome Baby

The most hotly anticipated wedding of 2014 took place this week in Venice, Italy, as long-time bachelor George Clooney married his fiancée human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in a three-day weekend wedding extravaganza. Guests arrived by private water taxis on Venice’s Grand Canal, and among Clooney’s celebrity friends in attendance were Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Emily Blunt and Bill Murray. Alamuddin’s dress was created specially for the occasion by designer Oscar de la Renta, and American Vogue will publish the exclusive photos.

Celebrities and singers turned up to pledge their support for the 2014 Global Citizen Festival, whose goal is to eradicate poverty by 2030.

All eyes were on Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher as they welcomed a healthy baby girl on October 1st.

In London, Sir Michael Caine celebrated his 70-year acting career at Royal Albert Hall. Sir Roger Moore, Quincy Jones, Steve Coogan and Jerry Hall were present to show their support. Speaking on the best film of his career, he revealed, “My favorite film that I ever did was Dirty Rotten Scoundrels because I was in the south of France, which I love, it was a successful picture, it was very very funny and they gave me a house between two of my closest friends, Roger Moore and Leslie Bricusse the composer, so I had the best summer I’ve ever had in my life.”

Dracula Untold, a new take on an age-old tale, had its movie premiere in London, with Luke Evans of The Hobbit movie series starring as the nefarious bloodsucker. Charles Dance, who fans of Game of Thrones will immediately recognize, also stars in the film.
